Jupiter Island is tiny (it lacks even a post office), exclusive, and exceptionally wealthy, both in terms of income and home values. At various times, its population, which hovers at around 1,000, has included the likes of sports figures Tiger Woods, Greg Norman and Serena Williams; Averill Harriman (a governor or New York and ambassador to the U.K.) and President George H.W. Bush; and select major entrepreneurs. Basic services and commerce are available across Hobe Sound, and to the south, in Jupiter proper. The events of ôthe seasonö in Palm Beach are an hour's drive away.
